A range of ISO/IEC 17025 accredited compositional analysis programmes are available for a range of materials, including glass, raw materials, refractories, dusts and other materials.

Composition analysis is typically carried out utilising x-ray fluorescent spectrometry (XRF), but for exotic or specialist glasses, specific requirements or trace element analyses a range of additional methods and equipment, commonly including AA, ICP-OES or wet chemistry methods, can be carried out - further supported by leading industry experts across our dedicated chemistry, glass technology and glass melting departments.

In-house method development specialists also enable us to create specific calibration methods for non-standard glasses, other inorganic materials and specialist applications across biomedicals.

Glass Composition Analysis

Our specialist laboratories provide analysis of a range of standard and exotic glass compositions, including commercial (soda-lime-silicate) and borosilicate glass, for verification or benchmarking compositional variations, these include:

  • Soda-Lime-Silicate (SLS) or 'Commerical' Glass;

Heavy Metal Content Analysis

Water and Waste Composition Analysis

Analysis of water and process waste to determine composition or ensure that mandatory limits of emissions are not exceeded.

Flue, FIlter and General Dust Composition Analysis

Analysis of flue, filter and general dusts for composition. Unknown dust analysis can be carried out utilising our instruments in-built synthetic calibrations, enabling the equipment to scan for almost all elements above oxygen on the periodic table.

Raw Materials and Cullet Composition Analysis

Unknown Material Analysis

Analysis of unknown materials, including the majority of elements above Oxygen in the period table, enabling composition to be determined by X-Ray Fluorescent (XRF) Spectrometry.
